Website on new machine

The n-ice.org domain was moved and therefore you are now accessing this website through the new server. This was the last big step in the server migration. Thanks for bearing with us.

Patched client

Since we joined the new machine it is mandatory to load the new patched client for the players which are using it.

Server migration status

Just a quick status update for you guys. All databases (including the one containing your precious points and registration data) and the game servers have been successfully moved to the new machine and are back online.

Websites have been migrated too but the domain n-ice.org is still pointing to the old server which is why the website you're looking at is still served from the old machine. It uses the database on the new machine as backend though, so data entered here won't be lost.

However, there might still be some things that internally point to n-ice.org addresses which don't work right now. I can't guarantee 100% functionality right now but first checks indicate that you can play on the game servers and also logins work.

Server replacement coming

After the reboot the server is relatively stable. However, the machine is old and the console keeps on spamming me with repeated CPU temperature and kernel IRQ vector warnings. There is no point in investing any more time into this server.

I am currently in the process of selecting a new machine and will migrate everything there over the course of the next days, hoping to finish everything this weekend (with no guarantees though). This means again a downtime for our services (hopefully much shorter this time). If you want detailed status infos or chat with me head over to our Discord server, which will be online even during server downtimes.
